Learn Audio Engineering
SoundLab Studios presents “Learn Audio Engineering” with Robert Back. This course is an interactive master-class environment where students learn digital audio engineering skills and acquire the tools necessary to record and arrange projects with GarageBand*. Students undertake several recording and mixing related projects to gain hands-on experience setting up a recording session and operating a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). Students will be guided through the step-by-step process of building and improving an original piece of recorded music.

Learn Audio Engineering was created by Canadian Engineer & Producer, Robert Back. A graduate of a Bachelors Degree in Jazz and Contemporary music with a focus on Recording, Music Production, and Music Technology.
Robert has worked in Professional recording studios. He spent two years assisting and engineering for producers from across Canada and around the world at Edmonton Recording Studio The Audio Department. Robert has continued his development by studying Recording, Mixing, and Mastering under Stew Kirkwood at Sound Extractor.
